Palyul Changchub Dargyeling Ohio is a Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhist temple in the Nyingma tradition dedicated to preserving the Palyul lineage. In Tibet this lineage is known as the Lineage of Accomplishment.
We are under the blessings of His Holiness Kyabje Drubwang Pema Norbu Rinpoche who established this branch in Ohio in the spring of 2000. We are under the guidance and direction of our spiritual director Khenchen Tsewang Gyatso Rinpoche. With the sorrowful passing of His Holiness in the Spring of 2009, we feel His blessings still remain with us and we pray for His swift rebirth. His Holiness Karma Kuchen Rinpoche, from the Palyul Monastery in Tibet, and one of Holiness’ young Heart Sons, is now the current throneholder of the Palyul lineage.
You can visit the mother website at www.palyul.org for complete details about His Holiness and all the Khenpos and Tulkus of this profound lineage. Palyul students have the opportunity to study directly under His Holiness during the annual one month summer retreat held in upstate New York. Our sangha continues these practices during the year together at our temple in Ohio, as well as hosting visiting Khenpos and Tulkus from Namdroling, our mother monastery near Mysore, India.
In this way, we have the rare opportunity to receive Dharma teachings just as our teachers themselves have been taught by the great masters before them, thus keeping this tradition pure, preserved, and vivid.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to be on our email list to receive specific practice or event details.
We welcome you to join us on this journey. Om Ah Hung.
